The System Administrator Role

Our future System Administrator colleague will be part of a team that handles multiple systems and locations. The main responsibilities will be the following:

  • To design, configure, install, maintain and repair WAN/LAN subsystems and servers
  • To oversee the Data Center operations and environment
  • To prepare information, to provide direction and/or deliver recommendations in reference with network and server installations and configurations;
  • To sort out server and network operational issues;
  • To provide technical support to on site and/or remote company staff and customers

The Key Functions of The System Administrator

  • To monitor internal systems and applications
  • To install, reinstall, configure Desktop OS, Server OS, Switch and Router OS
  • To troubleshoot and provide support for network, server, desktop, and printer issues
  • To handle software and hardware inventory
  • To assist with specific employee onboarding & off boarding tasks
  • To elaborate and document relevant specifications, systems, and procedures
  • To assess and recommend new technologies and products for improvement of the assigned system

What We Expect

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field
  • +3 years experience with computer systems or networking
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills in order to interact and collaborate with support staff and customers
  • User Support L1 & L2 proficiency
  • Hardware deployment and maintenance skills
  • Experience with Linux Web and Mail Server, Windows AD and Exchange Server, Storage and Backup Systems and with Networking: VLAN, Routing, Firewall

Good-to-Have:

  • Docker, Ansible and Git experience
  • Azure and or AWS experience

Communication Languages

  • Proficient English is a must
  • Hungarian is a must
