The Event and the competition is organized by Outsourcing Today and The Diplomat Bucharest, in partnership with ANIS – The Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry in Romania.
About the Nominated Project
Our company participated in the contest with a solution for smart homes. The global notification solution developed and engineered by SOFTECH team for the smart home market is a high scalability, high reliability and innovative solution designed for end consumers, supporting telemetry data, triggered by a large variety of smart home devices.
The main features of the solution are multiple channels availability, real time notifications generated from telemetry events, localization support and scheduled messages.
Utilizing DevOps tools such as Datadog for logging and monitoring, along with CircleCI for CI/CD pipelines and deployment, played a crucial architect decision in implementing the solution. Atlassian services like Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence were used for project management, source code management and documentation management.
The key innovation of the solution is the high scalability global solution able to configure and trigger push notifications for entire smart homes ecosystems.
Technology stack: Reactive Java, Spring Boot, WebFlux, Kafka, REST API, Azure Service Bus, Azure Notification Hub, Docker, AWS EKS, Redis, Sharded MongoDB, Junit.

Our customer reported that the key quality criteria were met above expectation:
- Code coverage above 90% (including unit and integration tests)
- End to end test on the configured push notifications above 90%
- Continuous Sonarcloud and Checkmarx planning for improving code quality and for security scanning
- Push notification send duration less than 1 second
- Subscription success rate above 95%
- Service availability of 99.91%
- Push notification send success rate of 99.97%
