This year, Târgu Mures Programmers Camp was hosted by Integro Centre in Szalárdtelep – Hargita County. The participants had an exciting three days of programming, math, sports, hiking, socializing and making new friends.
Softech Mentors at Târgu Mureș Programmers Camp
All the fun at Târgu Mureș Programmers Camp was about the great tournament for university and high-school students. The participants, divided in 7 different teams competed for the 1st place. Of course, all of them achieved very good results in solving the tasks.
Our Softech │ Codespring mentors were part of the jury and organized an Agile workshop for the students.
It was important to talk about the terminology as well, as the young generation, the programmers of the future needs to understand the small differences as well. In IT-companies, software architects, developers, programmers and testers work together as a team on a project, all of them are known as programmers for outsiders.
Software developers have a very exciting and creative job, and the society also appreciates the positive outcome of their work: the programs and applications can help people solve problems and make their lives easier.
Technology is constantly evolving, opening up new opportunities for IT professionals to work in other fields too, such as health, education, business, communication and entertainment.
To give the participants at Târgu Mures Programmers Camp a hands-on experience of what Agile workflow is, the mentors organized a workshop. The same task was presented in two different ways for the students: one group received a precise description of the task, the other team was given general description but they were allowed to talk to the “client”, while doing the task. As a conclusion, the differences between the two working styles led the students to understand the Agile philosophy.

Since 2022 our company, in partnership with Kiss Elemer Programme and Sapientia University, delivers the Codespring Mentoring Progamme in Targu Mures for students in Mathematics and Informatics.
