For SOFTECH Cluj, each year means one step further in the history of software development from Romania, namely Transylvania region. 2024 was a complicated year, given the fiscal changes and the political context in Romania. Nevertheless, we are happy to count a few important achievements and milestones for our software development team: from public recognition of our high-quality services to new software projects and successful team events.

Shortlisted for the Best Customer Centric Initiative 2024 Awards

Even it is more difficult to get the word out about our mostly confidential projects, sometimes we gat the chance to present our projects and results. Last year, SOFTECH was thus shortlisted for the Best Customer Centric Initiative 2024 Award in the Romanian Business Services Forum & Awards 10th Anniversary Edition. We thank Outsourcing Today and The Diplomat Bucharest teams for organizing these particular awards for the Romanian industry and also thank ANIS – The Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry in Romania for their constant support for local entrepreneurs in the IT industry.

International IT Events

2024 was pivotal for many aspects related to the Romanian IT industry, including the publicly funded Romania IT national pavilions. Even if some were backed-up by the public ministries and some were not, our team at SOFTECH managed to join the ranks at the following mega-events of the tech industry in 2024:

  • MWC Barcelona 2024 – the leading event of the mobile and connectivity industry in Europe. Here we had only an official delegation participating at the conferences, workshops and math making sessions.
  • GITEX Dubai 2024 – the leading Middle East tech event where global top players meet for sharing and promoting the latest tech innovations.
  • Web Summit Lisabona 2024 – one of the most reputed events in the world for the software development and tech start-ups community.

SOFTECH from Cluj, Romania showcased its industrial software development services and the entire suite of software services: IoT development, mobile development, cloud development, AI development, DevOps and custom software development.

Local Community Events

As an active member of the local IT community in Transylvania, SOFTECH participated in numerous tech meet-ups, conferences, networking sessions and other business functions related events on HR, marketing or education.

We especially thank Transilvania IT – the local IT cluster for fostering collaboration and education in cross-sectorial disciplines. Congrats to Today Magazine for keeping up the good work in communicating the latest updates in the programming field and organizing a monthly meet-up for the industry. Thank you ARIES Timisoara for supporting local companies in their participation at IT events. Special thanks and congratulations for ANIS  – The Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry in Romania for their impressive advocacy and industry and governance actions.

Company Events

Like each year, our company is putting a big effort in building our team’s cohesion and performance. That is why, we publicly bring recognition for all the team reunions, team training weekends and company party-like events held in 2024. Even if they are part of a standard modern company life, we always appreciate the engagement of each colleague and of their organizing committees.

What was remarkable in 2024, was the growth of local offices team activities, more and more colleagues choosing to gravitate around the organized events in Cluj-Napoca, Targu-Mures and Odorheiu Secuiesc.

Company Development

Last, but not least, it is important to note that SOFTECH also faced the IT industry’s challenges of 2024 – namely the global tech freeze and the direct effects of the surging financial global crisis. In this context, we must make a note and highlight the fact that overall, the company closed the year with everyone on board and even with a promising new colleagues.

We are also proud of our continuous mentoring programme deployed by the software teams across all offices. We thank our academic partners for the collaboration and impressive student oriented events held over the year.

At the end of our 2024 in review, we thank everyone – customers, colleagues and business partners – for their amazing work and we cannot but hope for a better new business year!
