SOFTECH is looking for an experienced Test Lead to help us deliver highly tested code. The successful candidate will take ownership of an ambitious testing project.

Good-to-have

  • Tester mind-set (out of the box thinking)
  • An experience of at least 1-year test leading role from planning to execution
  • Minimum 3 years working experience with testing
  • Experienced with: Linux, JIRA, Scrum methodology
  • Proficient in: test planning, including people, facilities and schedules; testing enterprise web applications, mobile app testing; defining complex test cases;
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Tested team management skills
  • Fluent Hungarian and English (spoken and written) are mandatory
  • Independent and highly self-motivated with a strong customer focus
  • He/she should also have strong analytical skills, good organization skills and attention to details

Optional

  • SQL knowledge
  • Test automation framework (e.g. Selenium)
  • Load test tool (e.g. JMeter)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, monitor and control the testing activities and tasks
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to devise the test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans
  • Estimate the testing to be done and negotiate with management to acquire the necessary resources
  • Indicate when test automation is appropriate and plan the effort, select the tools, ensure training of the team
  • Consult programmers to help them with their testing
  • Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites
  • Ensure proper configuration management of the testware produced and traceability of the tests to the test basis
  • Make sure the test environment is put into place before test execution and managed during test execution
  • Schedule the tests for execution
  • Monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions
  • During test execution and as the project winds down, write summary reports on test status
