SOFTECH Software Development Team Day 2024 was inspiring! Professional development for software developers include many types of trainings and educational initiatives. From technical trainings for hard skills to non-technical for soft skills. Once a year, at SOFTECH │ Codespring we try to gather all the company software development teams in one place, for a mega team spirit training. Already a tradition, since 1998, our software development team uses to organize an outdoor outing where we challenge our problem solving skills, while trying to reach out to a an objective: a mountain summit, a viewpoint, a panorama point or a challenging route.
Meeting Point
This September it was time to reunite our forces and go on a new super mountain route in the Western Carpathians. Our meeting point was Stâna de Vale a renoun mountain resort, located in Bihor County, in the commune of Budureasa, in the Vlădeasa Massif, at an altitude of 1100 m.
The main attractions in Stâna de Vale, are the oligomineral and ferruginous waters, the tonic bioclimate, characterized by low atmospheric pressure, intense solar radiation and high air ionization.

Team Hiking is one of our favorites. People have to chose various routes in order to spend quality time while hiking.
- This year we set as one of the most desired natural objectives the Devils Waterfalls. As epic as it may sound, it is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Apuseni Mountains, with a two-step fall totaling approx. 20 m, in a picturesque, particularly wild setting.
- For those who wanted to chose a more difficult hike, we pointed the Buteasa summit (1792 m) in the middle of the botanical natural reserve of Bihor Mountains.
- The comfy hike went towards Muncelu Summit (1296 m) and back to Stâna de Vale.
Hiking on these low mountains is a fantastic opportunity to train your team hoe to gear up, how to make a plan, how to adjust the rythm and how to adjust to various terrain and weather conditions. Plus, there are endless opportunities to know your mates better, while telling stories and sharing experiences.
At the end of the day everyone got back wuth fantastic memories and new perspectives about their team.
The day ended with more team games and a dinner together. The popular saying foretells that people who eat together will stick together. Thus, dining with our team is one of the best ways to share ideas.
Sunday, it was the time to test some of the fun team games provided by the resort and prepare to go back home. Another challneging aspect given the distances in Transylvania.
Training our Soft Skills
Transformation happens each step at a time. With each long-distance hiking you have grown outside the puzzle and you are ready for new challenges. The transformational power of a team hike is something that we have witnessed along the years and we believe in it as a tool for bonding and enhancing team spirit.
While everyone had to communicate, collaborate, interact and solve various little dayli problems, the beauty of it is that everyone got back to the base camp happier and more fullfilled.
