As previously announced, Softech from Cluj-Napoca, Romania has attended the much awaited CeBIT 2016 edition in Hannover, Germany with its tech brand named Codespring. The Romanian stand in Hall6, booth F48 has hosted 29 software development and IT Services companies that showcased their specific solutions and products. This CeBIT edition in short: drones, AR & VR, IoT and d!conomy.

About the CeBIT 2016 Partner Country: Switzerland

Switzerland capitalized on its special profile as this year’s official CeBIT Partner Country, presenting itself to a sophisticated public as a highly innovative business location with a thriving startup and spinoff scene.

The wealth of reserach and innovation organizations present in hall6 and across the entire exhibition are living proof of the direction chosen by Swiss ITC community to become one of the elite technology locations in the world. “We are here to peer ahead into our digital future, and to ask how our joint efforts can contribute to that future – in the economy, society and political arena.” – stated the Swiss Federal President Johann N. Schneider-Ammann, having the mythical szwiss summit in the background – the Matterhorn.

Romania at CeBIT 2016

Close to the Central Partner Country Pavillion – the Swiss Pavillion, the Research & Innovation area and the business security providers, Romania’s pavilion had the chance to integrate in this landscape under the caption “Creative Talent. Technical Excellence”.

Romania’s participation at CeBIT 2016 was facilitated by ARIES – the Romanian Association for Electronic Industry and Software, the biggest and most influential organization created for the ITC industry in Romania, having 4 branches:  Timisoara, Brasov, Cluj and Craiova. With the support of the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Relations, namely the Department for Exterior Commerce and International Trade, the Romanian delegates presented the results of Romanian R&D projects on the global market and aimed to make good use of the current brainpower in the country.

One of the highlights of the stand was the Romanian Night, where guests were invited to enjoy tasty Romanian food and delicious wines. More than 200 guests attended the event.

A special session of information was delivered by Ms. Elena Alampi, Mr. Viorel Peca and the State Secretary Mr. Manuel Costescu, on behalf of the European Commission and the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Relations on Wednesday, the 16th of March 2016.

Codespring by Softech at CeBIT 2016

Our booth showcased Codespring tech brand’s services and study cases in order to initiate new cooperations on complex software development projects, mainly on the IoT and industrial automation arenas.

In order to provide a relaxing and fun experience too, the guests at the stand were welcomed by an automated photo system.  The software system contained a server, a web application and a desktop application, running on a Raspberry Pi 2 mini computer. The guests got surpermanified  via the system.

Softech’s  aftershow report on CeBIT 2016 closed in a positive result both from the business prospecting side and the technology acumen side. Since CeBit is mainly a B2B event, our team had the pleasure to meet high caliber interlocutors – decision makers and influencers on topiucs such as mobile, IoT and cloud.
